Fun facts on the features: 1. Bioweapon defense mode is available in most other cars at this price point, but it's just the air recirculation option. It's just Tesla making a standard feature sound cool and different. 😂 And it takes less than two seconds to switch on in most cars, but in Teslas it's 10-30 seconds. Not great if you're trying to block out sudden pollutants. 3. Trunk opening height setting: this is standard on almost all cars with power tailgates. My Merc has the exact same feature. 4. Opening the doors manually isn't really a hidden feature, it's more of a mandatory function after so many people got stuck in their Teslas. 5. Charge point release - see above. Tesla is the only car that makes it THIS problematic to open your refuelling port. 😂

Im getting my Telsa model Y on thursday. Im really confused on how one pedal driving works. Does the car know when it has to stop when i stop pressing the accelerator or will i have to be ready to use the brakes?

Another thing owners shoud do is get a charging extension cable to use if they are trying to super charge but can't get close enough to the charger since I'm really tired of hearing all the complaints about the cables being too short.

We ordered a gray market Tesla model y performance in Thailand just before Tesla bought a business license at twice the price as we felt, it was worth it. We were lucky we got our money back from that when we saw the business license in the press as we canceled it got our money back and on the first day we ordered a model Y performance. We never been able to test drive a model wide performance in Thailand, so it was quite a surprise that first day when we drove home. 22,000 km later the car has been flawless. Now I don’t get very long range with it or anywhere near as advertised but my wife does when I’m away on business. We were looking at other cars when we happened by a gray market dealer that was selling Teslas, as well as other cars, not commonly imported to Thailand as soon as we test drove the Tesla all other considerations for other cars were gone. We ordered on the first day available here on December 7, 2022 and received our model I performance on May 10, 2023. We had no complaints during delivery. One complaint that came up later was the sound of rain makes when it lands on the rear hatch and the rear quarter panels, exposing the fact that there are very low noise deadening material placed on the body panels exterior. So I fixed that with some dynamite.

Couple of questions. 1) What happens to the headlight and windows if you accidently get some of the clear coat on them? should you cover those areas? 2) After you apply the clear coat, can you still apply wax later or does the clear coat take the place of the wax?

Looking to buy the Tesla 3 Highland with perforated seats. I see many videos on how easy it is to clean the white non perforated seats but very little on these new seats. Please let me know if anyone has any experience with this. Both in general, how well do they hold up? And better to go with black or white when it comes to these perforated seats. Thanks

Protecting a cheesy paint job is not an "optional" expense. Tesla paint is notoriously bad. Adding the cost of PPF is mandatory. I can think of 54 billion reasons Tesla cheaps out on the paint quality.

PPF should already be on the vehicle when it leaves the factory since the quality of Tesla paint is so poor. Teslas are stripped, not equipped.
